Frequently Asked Questions...

Is this guitar really worth it?

I'm getting money for my birthday and I want to buy a new acoustic guitar. I saw this one and i like it because is it the color i want, black, and it is an electro-acoustic. I also saw the price and fell in love with it instantly. But is it really worth me getting? Or does it just look like a cheap waste of money? And if so can anyone recommend me a nice, black, acoustic guitar for about £100.

Here is the guitar:

P.S. Sorry for the long question.
I already have an acoustic and I don't change my strings very often. Every 5 months at most, usually longer.
I HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR TWO YEARS I AM NOT A BEGINNER THIS IS BUYING ADVICE ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer:

It's not a bad place to start. It's not a perfect instrument, but it has its bonuses. The electro-accoustic design gives it moderate recording quality, which is a plus. The electronics aren't bad for that price either. However, the specs on the page you provided aren't full enough to give a strong evaluation. For instance, one of the key things to look for in a new accoustic is a solid wood top (i.e. not fiberboard). These will produce better resonance and sustain. If this model doesn't provide it, I would recommend finding a similar model in the same price range that does. Still, that being said, this instrument isn't a bad place to start.
