Double Bass Pedal: Should I Tune Each Pedal Differently?

Basically, my feet are not equal--close, but not equal in agility, strength, ect. So far, i've been tuning for my right foot and my right pedal, replicating the modifications to the left pedal. Unfortunately, I find my left foot (weaker foot) to be riding higher (towards the bass drum) to move the beater easier (compensating with less power and stroke length). Should i tune my left foot for my left bass pedal, and how?

(i will be playing mainly blast beats for melodic death metal)

Answer:

I wouldn't start using a crutch by changing the spring tension a lot between the two pedals. You just need to work on making your left foot stronger. I know this sounds a little goofy but it works. Sit behind the kit and just play single bass grooves, but use you left foot instead of your right. You can either close the hi-hats manually since you can't have your foot on it or just use the ride. This really works.
