What are the knobs on my Gibson guitar?
my grandpa has a gibson guitar that he is letting me borrow and i need to find out the knobs for it. its from 1968. i dont know of that makes a difference. i need to know which each does not what they are there are four.
Answer:
They are the volume and tone controls for each pickup. The top 2 are volume and tone for the bridge, or lead pickup. The bottom 2 are the volume and tone for the neck, or rhythm pickup. The volume knobs are in front of the tone knobs. The switch is a 3 position switch that chooses the lead or the rhythm pickup, or both in the center position.
Next time please include a model name or a better description of the guitar. Please take very good care of that guitar! It is a collectors item!
