HoW CAN I LEARN TOPLAY GUITAR BY MYSELF???( for 10 points)?

I want to learnt o play buitar byself, i cant afford to go to a teacher or anything so by myself is all i can do,

I am planning on buying an acoustic guitar starter kit that is at a store near me. I know it comes with a guitar and case but thats all i know. What do you think would come also in this starter kit?

My friend learned by herself but she moved FAR away so i can't ask her for advice besides on msn but she is never on as much ehen i am on because she moved to a different time zone in the UK and i am from canada. She said that once you learn the chords its pretty easy from there...

Well, first and the MOST important, you must try really hard. That means that you must practice a lot!

I Dont know if you know notes, or tablatures, if you dont, you should learn them ( at least one of them, and the tabs are lot easyer), othervise you can play music by ear, that is, trying to hear and play music that you (like to) listen. Thats the hardest option.

For the beggining, you shuld find some exercises on internet, of course, if you can read them (notes or tabs).

You should exercise at least for half an hour.

Dont try to play songs just in the begining, exercises are more important when you are starting. P.S. If you think i could help you some way, i could give you e-mail.... Good luck!
